The main objective of the Editorial Mediations in the Social Development of Costa Rican Literature (2000-2018)
project is to analyze the impact of the Costa Rican publishing industry on the processes of production,
circulation and reception of contemporary national literature registered between the first two decades. of the XXI century.
As can be deduced from the above purpose, our field of study encompasses a sociological interpretation of editorial
mediation processes and their involvement with the Costa Rican literary phenomenon, the latter understood under
the terms of a cultural commodity and specific social praxis.
