Descripción:

This project pretends to evaluate the diversity of birds of the La Chiripa Farm, property of Naranjo’s Municipality and that is located in the Chayote Protected Zone. This information will work as an input so that the municipality can develop eco-touristic (birdwatching), recreational, and environmental education activities. Recommendations to make these activities environmentally friendly  will be given so that it does not affect the birds nor their habitats, and that at the same time can provide profit for nearby populations and visitors. This  scientific information will also be of value to the Sistema Nacional de Áreas de Conservación (National System of Conserved Areas), specifically, the Chayote Protected Zone.
