836-B3-007 Narrative proposals of new Central American literature

Objetivo:

To study the narrative proposals of the new Central American literature in the period from 2000 to 2010, in order to establish what the themes and aesthetics of contemporary Central American literature are and thus learn how Latin American identity is represented in the Central American context.

Descripción:

The project sought to identify some of the main trends in the region's narrative in the period that has been called the postwar period and which is characterized by the preeminence of a neo-liberal model in the economic sphere and of violence, corruption and impunity in the social sphere. In this context of the beginning of the 21st century, some aesthetic proposals arise that attempt to account for the way in which this society is experienced by its members; studying these experiences and their representation in literary fiction was the main objective of the project.
